The new Ace Hood ‘Self Preservation’ EP comes to the surprise of many of his fans as it comes with three fresh new tracks.
With all that is going on in the world, many artists have had to postpone tours and album releases until the COVID-19 pandemic is over or at least contained, but that hasn’t stopped some artists from producing music. Ace Hood is one of those artists.
The drop of this new EP came as a shock because Ace Hood is scheduled to drop a full album at the end of the month called “Mr. Hood.”
“I wanted to speak on current times and this was a little something to hold fans over,” Ace explained regarding why he released this project now.
The three singles, “Tap’n”, “Finding My Way,” and “Smooth Criminal”, just revolve around him being in quarantine and how the rapper is coping with his own situations. So far, the three-song project has received positive reviews from fans, but fans are still waiting for the drop of his new album, “Mr. Hood,” which still has a tentative May 29th release date.
The album will also feature singer and producer Jacquees from Cash Money Records. Two earlier singles, “Big Fish” and “Confident,” received a lukewarm reception as neither single climbed the charts.
“Mr. Hood” will be Ace Hood’s 20th release.
