Former Georgia cornerback and New York Giants star DeAndra Baker has been accused of robbery.
The 22-year old turned himself in to Florida police on Saturday the authorities confirmed.
Warrants were issued last Thursday for not only Baker but fellow NFL player Quinton Dubar. According to the Atlanta Journal, Baker, Dubar, and another man allegedly robbed partygoers of $70,000.
Baker and the other two men could face eight felony charges in connection with the incident, including four counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault, according to police.
According to partygoers, a fight broke out, and the men charged pulled out red face masks and handguns. Baker and the other two men involved have said to have robbed four men of their expensive watches and money before taking off in separate cars.
Dunbar, who plays with the Seattle Seahawks and was a former wide receiver with the University of Florida, denies these chargers and witnesses say he was not armed in the robbery.
Baker and Dunbar’s attorneys deny the charges against their clients and ask the public not to rush to judgment. Both are being held in the Broward County Jail without bond.
