NBA players refuse vaccines!!

is no secret that the National Basketball Association has been dealing with turmoil in terms of Covid policies and medical vaccinations. Asides from the President’s comments that Covid is “a very important thing,” there has been a lot of discussion about whether or not players should be allowed to refuse to take vaccines. The controversy has recently come to a head as three stars have refused the vaccine and fans continue to debate on social media

The National Basketball Association, the NBA, will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2020 and has made a commitment to “Eliminate The Racism and Unconscious Bias” and move towards becoming a more inclusive league. Unfortunately, problems around Covid policies and mandatory vaccinations continue to overshadow the milestone.

This post is about how NBA players refuse vaccines. I always like to read about what’s happening in the world of sports because it often reminds me of my favorite teams!

The National Basketball Association wants to fully embrace its upcoming 75th anniversary, but internal problems around Covid policies and vaccinations continue to overshadow the milestone. The NBA recently provided updated guidelines for the 2018 season, which includes a vaccination policy that requires all players to be vaccinated. This change in policy isn’t sitting well with many players who are refusing vaccines.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. It was founded as the Basketball Association of America (BAA) in 1946 and renamed itself the NBA in 1949. The figures we will mention in this blog are from 2017. There were 108 players who refused vaccine last year, which is less than 5 percent of player population.

The National Basketball Association wants to fully embrace its upcoming 75th anniversary, but internal problems around Covid policies and vaccinations continue to overshadow the milestone. The league has revealed that 17 of its players have rejected the vaccine, which is designed to protect against nine strains of the virus. This would be a major blow to any other industry, given that NBA athletes are in constant contact with one another on the court and in locker rooms and could transmit the disease if they were not vaccinated and contracted it.

Influenza vaccines are so important, especially during this time of year, when cold and flu viruses are prevalent. Every day, athletes are at risk for contracting the flu or one of these other viruses. Influenza is a contagious respiratory infection characterized by fever and other signs. Tony Parker, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Love, Danny Green, Kyle Lowry, Tristan Thompson and many other NBA players have refused to take the vaccine that prevents influenza.

The National Basketball Association wants to fully embrace its upcoming 75th anniversary, but internal problems around Covid policies and vaccinations continue to overshadow the milestone. This weekend, NBA players refused vaccination before the season’s opening game, rendering them incapable of traveling overseas to play in games scheduled through mid-January. But this refusal is also indicative of a larger issue with how North American basketball players are not immunized. As the National Basketball Association continues to recover from its 2015-2016 season loss to injuries and illness, this latest internal problem will undoubtedly be on its mind for quite some time.

The National Basketball Association is facing major backlash for its refusal to give required vaccines to players. The move is part of the latest round of clashes between some NBA players and the league’s medical staff. It has been reported that the NBA will not change its stance on the issue, which means you can expect more players to voice their complaints on social media.
