Are you ready for Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield part 3?
Well, it may be happening if the two boxers can come to some kind of agreement.
Rumors are there may be another fight in the works if Tyson, 53, and Holyfield, 57, can work something out. Both former champs have been seen working out recently, and both look like they are in pretty good shape.
Tyson was approached recently by an Australian promoter who wanted the former champ to take on a famous Australian rugby player/former boxer for one million dollars, however, the champ doesn’t seem interested in taking on a fighter with little experience.
This potential rematch has peaked his and Holyfield’s interest.
“I would do that. Yes, I want to fight Mike Tyson,” Holyfield told the British newspaper The Sun. “I can definitely handle him. But Mike would have to want to do it as well. I can still shoot the jab, I can still shoot the shots, but not like a killing thing, Mike is looking sharp, but I’m in very good condition and shape physically and mentally. And if the money is right, too, then let’s get it on. Since we have both announced a comeback, a fight between me and Mike would definitely be the fight people want to see.”
Tyson sort of agreed. Though he didn’t say a specific opponent’s name, Tyson did say he would fight again for the right cause.
“Imagine I went out there and fought,” he said, “I could help all these people and animals we’re talking about. That’s really what it’s about.”
The last time these two fought as most of you may remember, Tyson bit part of Holyfield’s ear off.
We will see if the right promoter will come along and make these two a good offer. Where is Don King when you need him?
