WATCH KANYE WEST & MOS DEF RAP ‘TWO WORDS’ IN FIRST TRAILER FOR UPCOMING NETFLIX DOCUMENTARY

On Saturday (September 25), the streaming giant released the first trailer for the three-part series, which includes plenty of never-before-seen footage.

In the forthcoming Netflix documentary, Jeen-Yuhs, directors Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah will take fans on a trip down memory lane to explore how Kanye became, well, Kanye.

“I wanted to make a real movie about my life,” West said in a statement. “I got love for Oprah , love for Scorsese but I couldn’t afford those pictures so we’re going to use Netflix.”

Part one of the series is titled Partly Fiction—and includes footage from his days as a student at Chicago’s Columbia College, where he studied film and philosophy before famously scrapping his masterwork project about Oedipus Rex . In addition, it features exclusive interviews.
